ARGUS Skill

Stable version: 0.4.3 — for ARGUS V5.0.0

The ARGUS Skill lets you install once the instructions needed to execute the protocol on a compatible platform. After installation, simply provide the text to be analyzed and ask: “Analyze this text with ARGUS.”

The Skill is not the protocol. It is an execution layer designed to make the protocol easier to use. ARGUS V5.0.0 remains the normative reference; the Skill version and protocol version evolve separately.

Depending on the platform and interface language, this feature may be called a Skill or a translated equivalent. As of August 21, 2026, Claude uses Skills in its English interface; in ChatGPT, the feature also appears as Skills within plugin management. These labels and locations may change without any modification to the ARGUS Skill itself.

The same ZIP file is used regardless of the requested output language. The Skill bundles the normative French version of the protocol and can produce the analysis in another language when requested. The language of the analyzed text is likewise independent of the language of the bundled protocol: the Skill can analyze a text in any language that the AI system can process reliably enough.

Revision 0.4.3 improves reference portability: when a reliable URL for the analyzed object is available, it is included in the header; external sources with a usable URL are cited in the body as Markdown links such as [S1](URL), [S2](URL), etc., and their titles are clickable in the final source list. This change does not modify any rule or result of the ARGUS V5.0.0 protocol.

Installation

  1. Download skill.zip.
  2. Open your platform’s Skill or equivalent management section.
  3. Choose the option for importing or creating a Skill from a ZIP file, then select skill.zip.
  4. Check that ARGUS now appears among the available Skills.

Claude

In the current English interface, the section is called Skills and is available under Customize > Skills. Its exact location may change.

ChatGPT

In the current interface, Skills are accessible through plugin management. Because this feature is still relatively new, its location and labels may change.

If your interface does not allow importing a custom Skill, use the universal method: provide the ARGUS V5.0.0 protocol directly to the AI together with the text to be analyzed.

Usage

For a full analysis:

Analyze this text with ARGUS.

For a short analysis:

Analyze this text with ARGUS Light.

For several related texts:

Analyze these texts as a corpus with ARGUS.

For an execution independent of a previous analysis, open a fresh conversation and do not provide the earlier analysis.

The Skill declares the protocol version and its own technical revision in every full analysis. It activates appendices and external verifications according to the conditions defined by ARGUS; it must neither add nor remove a protocol rule.

What the Skill contains

The package includes:

If these elements conflict, the normative protocol prevails.

Compatibility and known limitations

Revision 0.4.2 was tested on August 21, 2026 with ChatGPT 5.6 and Claude Opus 5 on a full ARGUS analysis of the same article. Both executions correctly applied the wrapper’s substantive corrections and reached the same 7.c level.

Revision 0.4.3 builds on that tested base. Its change is limited to portable reference rendering; the package was structurally validated, without a new comparative host test.

A minor presentation limitation remains on ChatGPT 5.6: the model may use a different Markdown marker for some bullet lists despite ARGUS’s output rule. This presentation defect does not affect the analytical content of the execution.

Performance still depends on the environment being used: context capacity, output length, document reading, access to external sources, and retention of instructions over a long execution. Installing the Skill does not remove these constraints.

Versioning

ARGUS V5.0.0 designates the protocol version.
ARGUS Skill 0.4.3 designates the current stable version of its execution layer.

A technical correction to the Skill does not by itself create a new protocol version. Conversely, a protocol change may require a new Skill revision.
